The Camarillo Cougars lost a cherished member of its family last week. James Jones, a dedicated coach for the Cougars for 3 years, passed away in Camarillo Saturday, July 24th. The Camarillo Cougar organization and its families would like to extend our deepest sympathy to his wife Kathleen and their four children. James coached the Mighty Mite Black and Bantam White teams from 2006-2008 before moving on to coach a Roadrunner team in 2009. He was energetic, always smiling and had a way with kids like no other. It is safe to say the love that the kids had for him was only surpassed by the love he in turn had for them. Those who were lucky enough to have met him should feel blessed. He will be missed both on the field as well as off.
James’ funeral will take place on Saturday July 31st, 11am at
Mount Cross Lutheran Church
102 Camino Espledido
Camarillo, CA 93010
